The Perfect Fix for Brittle, Dry Hair

Let me tell you, my natural hair color is borderline black. However, the highlights that the colorist did on me were blond. Bright blond. (eek!)

The lady actually left the bleach on my hair longer than intended and when she unfolded the tinfoil, my hair had white-colored streaks going through it, very much like a zebra. (LOL)

To add to that, a group of friends who came with me that day were watching from the window outside as the stylist took off the tinfoil. I will never forget their faces when she did that — they were ALL stunned!

And not stunned with envy, they were stunned in shock. In fact, I can still picture their faces, it’s a mortifying memory.

Needless to say, my heart sank to the bottom of my chest when I looked in the mirror. But I digress.

The point is that highlighting my hair over and over to maintain the look, made my hair dry and brittle, to the point where the ends felt like broomstick bristles. Honestly, it was embarrassing.
