How To Lighten Hair Naturally?

FOR DARK-COLORED HAIR: Honey and Distilled Water

honey to lighten hairHoney naturally contains traces of hydrogen peroxide that will gently lighten your hair.

Then, when mixed with the distilled water, the honey undergoes a chemical process that helps to lighten your hair super fast.

Ingredients

  • 1 to 2 tablespoons of raw honey
  • 1 cup of distilled water

Directions

  1. Stir one to two tablespoons of raw honey into a cup of distilled water, and then apply evenly to your hair.
  2. Let it sit for 30 to 60 minutes or you can put on a shower cap and leave it on overnight, then rinse it out thoroughly.
  3. If you are doing this on a sunny day, go out and catch some rays, the sun will help to lighten your hair quicker.

Subsequently, the acid works in conjunction with the sunlight’s UV rays to activate and speed up the brightening process.

Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 parts freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 part warm water

Directions

  1. Mix two parts freshly squeezed lemon juice with one part warm water in a spray bottle.
  2. If your hair is dry, then mix three parts lemon juice with one part leave-in conditioner.
  3. Then sit out in the sun for an hour or two over the course of four different days. The change will be subtle but clearly brighter.

Unfortunately, the only drawback with using these natural hair lightening options too often is that they will most certainly dry out your hair or make it go orange.
